Why A Lot Of Teams Fail
You know as we travel the internet we hear the saying of team building many many times. Why is this so? Why is it so important? What makes a good team, How do you build such a thing? Are just some of question you will hear, maybe even from yourself. I am going to try and throw some light on overused term why I think it is overused.
Team building goes way back to the birth of mankind and has been used to wonderful effect over the years. However the true definition of team building has lost a lot with the coming of the internet, to the point of almost becoming a cliche to be bandied around everywhere. I believe the majority of internet users and members of the vast array of MLM programs have not got a clue what it really means let alone know how to be a team leader. This is very sad because one of the most powerful tools in the history of mankind is left begging at the gate.
The importance of team building can be seen with the building of the pyramids in Egypt or some of the other great structures that man has built. You only have to look at the well oiled machine of a top football team or any top sports team for that matter. It has been known since the beginning of man that this is the way to achieve mighty results. Each doing his or her job for the betterment of the whole team. The global teams of the internet fail to conform to this structure and hence the team falls apart and everybody asks, what happened?
In true MLM style each member is instructed to build a team for him self, that is not the hard part. Knitting the whole team together like a tight fitting glove is the hardest part. Why is this? The human being is mainly a greedy type creature, this has been the reason for our survival. With economy like it is nowadays you can see why this is far more pronounced into todays world. The internet is not a place for the faint heart business person, you do really have to learn new and much better skills in communication and business practices.
The main reason why MLM type teams fall over is this. They are all about themselves, building, building but no training or close knit team work. All are doing there own thing and forgetting what a team really should be doing. Why, Why would they want to do that? The reason is very simple they just do not get the training or support of there up liners. This being the case they can not pass it on to their down line. They end up doing it there way on their own and very quickly pull out and then blame the internet for their failures.
I am not saying that the sort of team building we have been talking about can not work, it can and does in some cases. However the majority of them fall very short. They take your money and then you are on your own, if you are to stand any chance you had better have a lot of entrepreneurial skills. But there is a much better way to build a very successful team. But not by recruiting everybody you can, you have to hand pick your team so they will bring there skills to the table. Real team work involves the whole team working towards one common goal, for the benefit of all the team no matter what the goal is.
Very close contact and support from the team as a whole is the secret to success. Every team members is there for the next just like a sports team and should be just as closely knit together. Sure you might say this will not work in an MLM situation, I see not reason why not it is still the same concept. If the whole team works as one unit amazing things will happen for the whole team and everyone will benefit.
One such team that is working this way is our hive team, very closely knit and working together for the betterment of all members. I believe this is the way of the future in internet marking, a powerful concept that is already working.
